At StorySacks Ireland, we want you and your little ones to love your StorySack. If something isn’t right, here’s how we handle returns, exchanges, and refunds.


Your Right to Cancel (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)

Under EU and Irish consumer law, if you are a private customer, you have the right to cancel your order and receive a full refund within 14 days of receiving your goods, without needing to give a reason.

To exercise this right, simply [email info@storysacks.ie / contact us] within 14 days of receiving your order to let us know you wish to cancel. You will then have a further 14 days to return the item(s) to us.

Please note: items must be returned unused, unopened, and in their original packaging where possible, particularly sensory items, puppets, and books, for hygiene and resale reasons. If items are returned used, opened, or not in resaleable condition, we reserve the right to deduct an amount from your refund to reflect the reduced value of the goods.

This statutory right does not apply to:

  • Custom or personalised bundles made specifically to your order
  • Digital products once downloaded (see below)

Change of Mind Returns (Outside the 14-Day Window)

Beyond the statutory 14-day period, we consider returns and exchanges on a case-by-case basis. If you’ve changed your mind about a StorySack, please get in touch with us at info@storysacks.ie and we’ll do our best to help.

Please include your order number and the reason for your return when contacting us. We’re a small, family-run business and we genuinely want every customer to be happy โ€” so reach out and we’ll find a fair solution together.


Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If your StorySack arrives faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us at info@storysacks.ie as soon as possible, ideally within 14 days of receiving your order, with photos where relevant.

In these cases, we will offer a full refund or replacement, and we will cover the cost of return postage.


Digital Products (Nursery Times Newspapers & Downloads)

Due to the nature of digital products, all sales are generally final once a file has been downloaded.

However, if a digital product is faulty or not as described (for example, a corrupted file or incorrect content), we will happily provide a replacement file or a full refund. Please contact us at info@storysacks.ie with details of the issue.


Return Postage Costs

  • Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items: StorySacks Ireland covers the cost of return postage.
  • Change of mind / statutory 14-day cancellations: the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the item to us, unless otherwise agreed.

We recommend using a tracked postage service when returning items, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit back to us.


How Refunds Are Processed

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds will be processed within 14 days, back to your original payment method.


Gift Cards

Gift cards are non-refundable but do not expire, unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.
